What’s New at Steven Stern Fine Arts

Steven Stern Fine Arts

Steven Stern Fine Arts specializes in important Early California and American paintings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with an emphasis on California Impressionism, California Plein Air painting, and historic American art.

Our gallery buys, sells, consigns, and advises on original works by leading artists including Edgar Payne, Guy Rose, William Wendt, Granville Redmond, Joseph Kleitsch, Maurice Braun, Armin Hansen, William Ritschel, Jessie Arms Botke, and other major American and California painters.

We actively seek exceptional paintings from private collections and estates and pay strong market prices for quality American and California art, particularly works dating from approximately 1890–1940.
